PETER F. DWYER, Esq., earned his Bachelor’s degree from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, majoring in Business and Government. Mr. Dwyer earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School and an M.B.A. degree from Baruch College. In New York he founded the law firm Colombini & Dwyer in 1997 and was also President, founder of and a Licensed Real Estate Broker with Universal Realty Services, Inc. d/b/a Cutting Edge Realty Services Company.
Mr. Dwyer’s practice focuses on wills, trusts and estate planning; the administration of estates in Probate Court; Famliy Court matters from divorce to custody proceedings; commercial and residential real estate transactions; Traffic Court/Criminal Court matters ranging from your basic speeding ticket to more serious misdemeanor charges; the sale and purchase of businesses; foreclosures; collection matters; mechanic's liens and the representation of Homeowners Associations and Condominium Associations. In North Carolina, prior to starting The Fitzgerald Dwyer Law Firm, P.C., Mr. Dwyer represented lenders in commercial real estate transactions at the firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP.
Mr. Dwyer is a member of the North Carolina, South Carolina and New York State Bars and admitted to practice in the both the Eastern and Southern District Courts in New York.
Mr. Dwyer is also a member of The North Carolina Bar Association, The Union County Bar Association, The Business Leaders of Charlotte (“BLOC”), a member of the Board of Directors of the Union County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Board of Directors of the Monroe Rotary Club.
Married with four children, Mr. Dwyer is a Masters swimmer and nationally licensed youth soccer coach.
